Up for sale is a 1971 Plymouth Duster roller. The car is originally a slant six/ auto on the column, blue with blue interior. All of the metal work and body work has been done on the entire car (exterior, floor, and engine bay), there was a small patch panel put in the front driver floor, and a patch in front of the driver side quarter panel. The car has a custom 6 point cage installed and the front and rear bumpers have been bodyworked and sprayed Hot Rod Flatz flat black. This car is now a rock solid platform! The car is completely ready for primer and whatever paint color you choose. All it needs is paint/interior/drivetrain. The car has a clean Nevada title. No mysteries and no surprises here.

Asking $2750. Buyer responsible for shipping. Car is located in Sparks, Nevada.

Pictures coming tomorrow.

EDIT: PICTURES ADDED BELOW! The order of the pictures is off, but you get the idea.

Should sell.Throw some ads at Fallon. With Top Gun nearby, that would be sweet.

Man o man how i wish I could get this car I wish it werent so far away, well good luck with your sell

I don't follow what any of that means. Fallon? Jimmy Fallon? Top Gun? The Tom Cruise movie? :dontknow:

Fallon, Nevada is not too far from Reno. It is the actual location of the Navy's Top Gun training base. It's not right near the beach, like in the stupid Tom Cruise movie.

I think he's implying that there are a lot of cocky Navy guys nearby that could possibly enjoy a car with a lot of power.

Ohhhh, I see. That was over my head I guess. I'm 25 years old and live about 2500 miles away...

Sorry about Top Gun,my apologies! Over towards Fallon, there is a new dragstrip called Top Gun Raceway. I was vague in my comment.I should have conveyed to see if your storage manager could network for you. I was out that way 6 months ago, still a lot of race stuff being built that way.

No problem at all, thanks very much for the suggestion! If you know of anyone looking, I'd greatly appreciate you passing the info on. :thumblef:

The car is going to be painted Sherwood Green Metallic with a flat black 340 callout. The price will increase as the car becomes nicer and more complete. Act now if you want it before that...

By no means trying to knock the sale or turn anyone away, but I think it needs to be stated that the roll bar is just that...a roll bar. It would not pass any sort of certification from NHRA or IHRA, and would need to be completely redone in order to get any sort of certification. The main hoop is fine, but the tubes going to the rear and the short tubes going forward do not meet specs.
Just thought this should be noted before someone buys something they think is close to a racecar. Otherwise, super clean car. Good luck with the sale!

Not sure how to reply to this without sounding like I'm on the defensive, which I assure you I am not. I appreciate you trying to clear the air, but I don't see any real need for it. Nowhere in the ad was it implied that this is a racecar or that the cage is certified, or even certifiable. It's a street roll bar, with 6 points. Thank you anyway and please pass this on to anyone you know needing a project like this.

Chris...good luck on the sale...looks like a good start for someone
