1972 Daddy Daughter Duster

-
Been awhile since the last update. But making a little progress on my "to-do" list. Not much of a Daddy/Daughter build these days as the girls are now 22 yo ladies with careers, apartments and such...Though it is still "their car" lol.

Got the new chunk assembled and in the car. Could not have done it with out the expertise and help from FABO member @Daves69. Great guy and new friend! The car really responded well to the 4.30's keeping the rpms in the sweet spot and the switch to the 275x15-60 MT's has it really hooking nicely off the hit, actually allows me to use 1st gear now lol.

Couple pics:

Got the car in the air now to address a pesky oil leak and clean up the engine bay. Will also be replacing rear axle bearings. After many incorrect diagnosis while chasing the weird noise it turned out to be the passenger side bearing.

Threads 727 Making Weird Noise

Weird noise from 742 chunk

Also scored a new bumper from AMD thanks to a FABO member's heads up on the sale!

Feels great the be making progress out in the garage again now that the weather's broke.

Be well folks!

Wow 4.30 gears! Where did you get the gears set up? Locally?
Hey Mike,

Yeah, really enjoying them. A local member in Aurora, Daves69, help me with the setup. Couldn't have done it without his knowledge. Great guy and knowledgeable as heck.

Take care and look forward to catching up this season.

Pat
