Man I love that color, and the wheels are outstanding..............................the car is looking GREAT

Very nice!, I am curious if you weighed it after the cage?

I loved this story and the subsequent build!! That is one beautiful car. One of the best build threads on this site!!![]()
Sounds fantastic! You can definitely tell it wants to run. Such a cool car! Great job!
Love the lope, what are the cam specs? Saw in a previous post you upgraded but didn’t see specs. Car looks great!I appreciate it. Thanks!
Yeah, it was just starting to pull hard when the system granny shifted it. I was going to make another run and let it eat, but then the EMTs had to leave. They had to close early.
It'll be fun to see how far I can take these Trick Flow heads. They've been great so far. I'm fairly confident I can get it in the low 6.70s with some weight reduction.
A buddy captured a photo of me and a young buck Dart owner. His had a big block in it. Built the car himself.

Heck ya! I’ve seen some of the times of the other guys on here running those BloomersThanks man!
Here's a photo of the cam card. I'm still using 1.6 rockers.
My plan is run this top end/cam all of next season, and then switch over to a set of Bloomer heads and a solid roller cam.

I went back and read a little and noticed you mentioned two different engine upgrades in the cars future. Current engine with bloomer top end and then a G3 hemi. Have your plans changed for the car?
That is way too damn logical and well thought out. I say give it all the beans now but that’s mostly because I want to spend your money and see a twin turbo gen 3 in the car.Kind of...
I've been "retired" from racing for about 20 years, so I'm still trying to shake the rust off. My plan is to progress my program in 3 stages over the course of several seasons:
Stage 1 (Training wheels): Keep the LA with the Trick Flow top end. See how far I can take it.
Stage 2 (Semi serious): Same LA short block with the BPR heads + SR cam. That should get me into the low 10s/high 9s.
Stage 3 (Hell Yeah, brother!): Gen 3 with either a Whipple or a large single turbo. This combo would probably take me to the limit of cage certification.
I'm trying to progress responsibly in the beginning. I need to learn how to fix simple problems with a slower motor before I jump into bigger problems with a faster motor. The ultimate goal is to get a Gen 3, but I want to master the chassis first and then add more power later.
