1973 dart 4 door windshield trim molding clip question

Have any 4 door owners experienced this? The windshield clips have elongated holes. Which means means they can be adjusted up or down. However, once they are in and the gasket and glass have been installed you can't adjust them; or can you? It would be nice if I could set them at the optimum height before continuing with the rest of the installation.

Not adjustable afterwards. Determine clip height allowing for moulding thickness and make them all the same.

I just placed them centered more or less. You can bet the factory never fine tuned the things.The trim is just for looks. If it sits high enough for a pine needle to slip under, who cares?

Push them down and tighten the screws . The bottom of the clip goes against the base of the channel. I never had clips with oval holes that I noticed. Must be universal after market

They are from Detroit Muscle Technologies. They are expressly for 4 door cars. I kinda remember reading in the past where someone had trouble with DMT clips. It's what I have on hand..
