The time has come to sell her....I bought a 72 Dart Swinger a few months ago so the Duster has to go.

I first saw this car back around 1992 but even though the plates expired in 1989, the original owner wouldn't sell(good thing because i was just a dumb broke kid). I finally purchase tt ~15 years ago from the original owner's sister after he passed away. It was all original, even the exhaust pipes. But pretty rusty,,floors had 1/4" dried mud and already been patched once and the K-frame was also packed with mud and rusted out(since replaced)

When I got it in 1998, it hadn't been driven in 10 years. On a dare I threw gas in the carb and wouldn't you know, it fired right up,,,So I went ahead and drove it off and on and put a good 5-6K miles on it pretty quickly but for the last 6-8 years it's mostly sat.

Around 2003 or so, some gal in a Exploder rear ended me and wrinkled the Left 1/4 panel and the frame rail too.

It has the typical rust belt rust so it needs new floors, rockers, 1/4s ect

Front seat covers are shot but I did replace the carpet back in 1999, which the sun has since bleached out.

Trunk is in OK shape,,,i think the original owner once mentioned getting in a wreck, which explains the red primer

Do you have any close up of the wrinkled quart panel? was the trim around the wheel well wrinkled too? I'm close to elgin Illinois. do you think the car can be driven to Elgin? whats all that red stuff in the trunk? primer? you have the antenna? looks like it missing. whats going on with the hood? looks like little pings or something .

The engine, trans and suspension are in good shape but not the Tires and Brakes. A trailer would be best.
I don't have close up pics of the 1/4 panel readily available but I'll post some later this evening. That wheel trim is a little jacked up but iirc the wheel itself was ok.
The rest of the Antenna may be around. The mast snapped off a good 15 years ago, shortly after I got it. I have a spare I'll throw in
The red primer in the trunk was there when I bought it. Back in 1992, I believe the original owner told me he got hit in the early 80s.
