Well... I have about 450mi on this engine. I know I am suppose to wait for 500mi for break in period, but I figured... What the heck? I kept it at 4000rpms just in case though :)
You have to remember what I started with when I found this car in back of a bar in the weeds. It had a running slant 6, but even that needed work. Someone installed a bone yard slant six and never finished it. They just left it there and moved to CA. So I got the slant 6 running, and then... Just kept going.
I couldn't have done all this without you guys!!! :)

Here is a picture of what I started with as I found it, and a short video of what it has become...

(What do you think of the exhaust sound?)

not to shabby that looked like a lot of fun congrats on nice build, just went back and looked again i know you are happy

Yea, didn't even use the brake. That's just from a dead stop. 3/4 throttle. Pretty cool!
I was scared of the cops though. I got my friend and was like... "Lets go!" It was just like the Dukes Of Hazard! :)

The alternator seems to have a squeak. It's not a squeal, it's a squeak. I'm thinking it may be the alternator itself since it does have "1976" stamped on it! :)

Looks awesome, your engine sounds perfect with open headers BTW. I'm assuming you got that tick sorted out?

I've always thought those hood scoops looked hideous.....but lookin at your car make me rethink it. Nice job.

Nice, but now your car will be hated by all the yuppie suburban types with crocs and pony tails, lol.
