I'd rather ponder why every planet we have ever seen, or will probably ever see is round. (That's a big freakin coincidence)
And what exactly is the significance of all these round things that make up everything we know. (Atomic particles, atoms, planets, stars, suns)
From the smallest particles we can see to the biggest things we will ever see are round. Why?
Would this not be suitable reason to think that the universe is actually round and not infinite like they think right now.
Warm fuzzy thought that it is the endless creation of an almighty that loves us, but I can't buy it.
Humans have always loved to have beliefs and stories of things bigger and to be feared or else.

Personally, I think God is just a concept.
A concept for people to follow as a guideline for belief for their own comfort and socially acceptable behavioral guidelines.
I believe that the concept of "God" comes from inside each and every person that does the right thing, and helps someone who needs help.
Not from a book that humans wrote, or from a building with a bunch of people it that want to all tell each other how great God is.
We are God, each and every one of us, and I personally don't need to feel someone bigger than me is watching to make sure I do the right thing, to do the right thing.

IMO the 2012 thing is contrived to get people to spend their moolah NOW and revive the ponzi economy. Consumer spending WAS 66% of GDP and with the HELOC ATM closed and jobs in the crapper spending is way down. If they scare you into spending now before the end of the world (cause otherwise you missed out) it keeps the plates spinning a little longer so they can sell out the stocks before the next wave of financial institution failures.

Of course I am now into this hobby for a similar but different reason. Getting too old to ride dirtbikes, water ski, snow ski, and anything else that takes healthy body and this hotrodding is a hoot. Just not sure about driving the rod on the street cause the cops are out there looking for revenue any way they can - or they too lose their jobs to budget cuts. Luckily the track is really close by.

Congrats on figuring out the bigger picture. I always look at who will benfit fromsomething like this and the first thing come to mind was the scare about 2000,and all the puters were supposed to crash,lol.

Appparently the scare worked as sales on things like generators,survival gear and such went up. People stock piled food,water,gas ,ammo.

Fear has always been a major key factor in the manipulation of john q puplic.
 
the cops are easy if your over 45 , just smile and give them the nod and a little wave like your one of them ,it confuses them long enough to be long gone before they can decide if your an off duty or retiree from the force . try it it works for me all the time 2weeks ago I forgot the ball park 2 blocks from my house was hosting a music fest ,I burned em around the corner loud and saw a couple of uni's on the next block ,one grabbed what looked like a scope { it was a small hand held laser unit } I don't have a front plate on the car { a fine here in itself } and when I got close enough to see the fire in his eye's I did my thing , lol you could see the stunned confusion come over his face , I was 2 blocks down and around the corner before he could even think of looking for my back plate.
