Today I attended the WPC Mopar Only show in Coombs, BC. There was a great turn out with a lot of cars I've never seen before. A pile of guys from Victoria as well as Campbell River and Cedar came to Parksville and met up at the Tim Hortons before the show. From there we drove to the show together, about 10 of us.

Here's pics from the show.

Wayne's 69 340 Dart. He has a pile of cool stuff, including a '70 D100, a '65 300, a '68 Charger, and a '60s A100.

This guy followed me home after the show to pick up a pair of Dart Custom emblems I gave him. He picked the car up for $50, and drove it from Ontario to Vancouver Island just for this car show. It had a /6.

This is a friend's nicely restored '64 Valiant.

This is my cousin's '72 Duster. It started out as a Gold Duster, now has a 340, 727, and 8 3/4 with 4.56s, mostly sees the track.

Todd owns a whole pile of nice B and E bodies.

Very cool '65 Sport Fury, factory 426 4 speed car.

Greg (67GTConvert) brought his survivor '70 Roadrunner.

Mark (moopa) met up at Tim Hortons from Cedar and brought his unrestored '69 Charger.

Nate brought his '69 Barracuda from Victoria, and met up at my place last night and this morning. It was pretty cool to have our 3 F8 cars parked together.

Kailan brought his '72 Dart to the show.

Scott brought his GTX, he won Best Paint.

Peter (peterdoherty) brought his '72 Demon 340 4 speed to Tim Hortons this morning, then to the show. Glad to see he lit up the tires after I did around the corners.

Flat hood Challenger that still had the wire spoke hub caps. Cool to see one not changed over.

I really liked the mix of late 50's fin cars with early Hemis and cool dashes. I would love to own one myself.

This beautiful '68 340 fastback Barracuda came from Washington. Everything on it was immaculate, and the paint was a special order for '68.

Big block Cordoba.

I spoke with the owners of this '61 Chrysler wagon quite a bit. Very very cool car!

This is a '62 Polara, however from my knowledge it's a '62 Dart, and I say that because I own one. Is this a '62 Polara in the US? Or were the Dart and Polara the same in '62?

'79 Aspen kit car with less than 6600 original miles.

'71 Dart GT.

'70 GTX with 440 6 pack.

62 the dart and polara were the same body, different trim levels is the difference

Would like to have seen some more pics of the 64 polara convertible

What a great mix of cars!

Thanks

Thanks for "rubbing it in", Mike!!!...LOL

Seriously, great pics!!!

x2...I was in a hurry in the AM and forgot my camera but Mike's posted pics of all the cars I really liked anyways.
Lots of awesome Mopars there but I especially loved the orange 68 Barracuda with the factory Omaha orange paint, the silver 67 GTX with all the options,Peter's TB3 72 Demon, and the 65 Sport Fury with the 426 wedge/4-speed.Lots of others were extremely nice as well.

Did you find out what went wrong with your car? I've got some spare SB distributors and ECUs if you need one for troubleshooting.

Something shorted out under the dash, in the turn signal flasher system of all places. Traced the wire that fried back to solid, replaced the fried part, and seems to be fine. Drove it around town last night. Not sure what it was.

Wow, Thank you for sharing them beautiful Mopars!

Good to hear that nothing was seriously damaged.Guess we should carry fire extinguishers around with us in our old cars with 45 year old wiring, just in case.
Wierdest thing was after I doubled back and drove by the spot where I saw your car,I started hearing this really loud whirring noise coming from my dashboard...I'm pretty sure it was from the speedo head as the speedo started wavering at the same time but strange that it happened at the same spot...maybe we both drove through some sort of Bermuda Triangle for old Mopars...:violent2:

Good idea on the fire extinguisher!

You must have woke up the "Bermuda Triangle" residents as you drove through first with that loud exhaust of yours!!!....Baaahhh!:violent1:

Is it that loud outside the car? It's not bad inside except when I'm in the hammer lane next to the concrete dividers with the windows down and then it sounds like a NASCAR stocker...

When I saw your car was gone I assumed you'd continued on heading north so I figured I'd have to haul *** to catch up with you...It was fun passing everyone doing 75 MPH in the old 'Runner while the traffic was still pretty light...don't get to that in town much these days...:snakeman:

I actually did continue up, for a while, then thought I'd better just take it home in case it happened again, only worse. There was an 18 in. piece of bare wire hanging from under the dash...not too good. I tried to aviod as many bumps as I could!

You should have tried putting your tongue on it to see if it's live...I hear that works better than a meter...:tongue10:

That '61 Chrysler station wagon has me drooling and thanks for sharing your pictures 70DartMike!

Wow, you are lucky to see so many beautiful, rare, and cool Mopars. I am envious. Thank you very much for sharing.

Mopar56 thanks a ton for the heads up on this show, we really enjoyed it and the sand castles on the beach. 65VAL sorry you didn't make it, was looking forward to seeing the vert, but at least there's no bubbled paint! 70DartMike thanks for all the great pics, you took more and better than me!

Hey 71340Duster, will you be going to Sunbust in Graham this year? I'm hoping to make that one...barring another breakdown!!!#-o

Great job as always Mike, thanks so much for the photos. It was fun to be a part of the mini caravan from Tim Horton's in Parksville to the show in Coombs. I met some great folks there including some awesome FABO members! The Mopar-only shows are few and far between on the island, so this was a treat. Thanks to everyone who made it a success!

No problem, I like doing the picture thing.

Yeah, that little cruise with about 10 old Mopars was one of my favorite parts. It would be cool to set up a yearly Mopar show. Hmmm...
