I'm selling everything just about. Will keep some tools for the daily drivers.....
I sometimes think about selling out myself and maybe putting the money towards my principal payment on my house. I think a modest simple minimalist life maybe a better fit mentally and physically. I’m also a glutton for punishment so I keep messing with these 60 year old car relics. I have these mental battles often.
To not buy another project...
I’m currently cleaning out the bay of the garage to bring the blue 66 over for an engine swap. The engine is out, the new engine needs paint and mated to the new trans, then in it will go. I promised the bride it would be done by spring, and so it will be.
I have so many home and auto projects for a life time. I think I need some easy fishing and relaxing time.
That’s a nice fish sure she will love that.
But it is a '68 Formula S 340 Spring Special Fastback Barracuda.
She loves the car, but she said it was “too loud”, imagine when she fires up the new 340 I built for it. Maybe an exhaust change will be in order, but the exhaust is actually in very good shape. Crap, more money!!
Attend as many shows and events as I can here in the Pacific Northwest. Fly East and attend Carlisle sans car. Get the 70 GT ready for another 8000 mile road trip in 2027!
I like a deep mild tone letting you know there’s a v8 under there but not sounding like a shitstang with flowmasters blowing ear drums especially for a cruiser. Ironically my barracuda has a mustang exhaust made by Cervinis I got it for free, it sounds like a top fueler. Had I known it was a $2200 exhaust I would have sold it for a few bucks and used that to fund a more appropriate exhaust

74 Cuda - Started out as replacing headers that rusted out. Decided to swap intakes. Somehow the heads ended up on the bench getting refreshed and the engine wiring unwrapped to sort out some issues. The car was running fine.
69 Charger - Finish up little details and give it a shakedown on a resto that has taken way too long. Haven't driven the car since 1991!
69 Dart convertible - Call in a priest and give this car an exorcism to find out why this car hates me. Its a fun car that runs good...kinda... when it wants to. The suspension is suspenseful even with a total rebuild. The brakes don't brake, even though they're all new.
I have done many cars over the years and this one defies all sense of mechanical logic. Maybe five years of sitting in the corner has done it some good.

lets see.. my car goals are:
want to re do the brakes on the dart. everything... going to goto 11x2.5" in the rear also. only has 11x2" there now...
hopefully the modernized radiao is done soon for it. i'll get that in.
i need to fix the blower motor,. i think th eswitch is bad. be nice to have heat in it other then when you are moving.
think i want to go from the 2.76 gears up to a 2.94.
want to put a part throttle kickdown set up in it.
i'm sure there are a few other things that i can't think of right now too... who knows if i'll actually get that done.
on the 74 c-10
i need to do the entire brake system. have all the stuff, i just have to install it.
i want to install the umi suspension kit and rebuild the front suspension. i have all that stuff sitting here.
i want to install the new seat cover i have here for it.. that should look awesome when complete.
want to install the 4bbl intake and 4bbl carb on it.. have the intake i just need a carb.
want to chab=nge out the rear bumper. i have a nicer one here already.
i have to put LED headlights in it. after seeing how well the philips led's worked in the dart i need to put them in the truck.
need to clean out the second fuel tank and get that working.. long range would be awesome..
need to put the electronic ign in it too..
i'm sure there is more. want to get it as reliable as possible..
i think i'm going to liquidate a few things too.. i don't see myself wanting to do a new project.
may sell an early A swap set up.. motor mounts, dougs headers, centerlink and whatever else i have laying here.

have some olds cutless seats that need to go..
have a ton of carbators laying around and i really don't need all of them..

Sounds like most of you guys want to work of stuff... I just want to drive mine... The more the better... Unfortunately the reality is they always need some kinda work...

the dart i really don't have to do any of the above to drive and enjoy. i'll enjoy it more with that stuff done,
the c10, brakes need to be done to be safe for all to drive.. then we can drive the hell out of it..
For 2026, just drove the GSS as much as possible. 1 of 2 that actually gets driven

are the 11x2” not working out for you? I have a set that I was going to use on an 83/4 and Dana both 11x2”. I know they are hard to find hardware for.lets see.. my car goals are:
