Can't help you out on early or late 273 or the height (looks fairly flat and low-profile), but it's definitely a single-plane manifold (see the 360-degree ID?)
 
Looks like a late, '66 up to me. The intake bolts aren't vertical enough for an early manifold.

It's a dual plane because it has the split plenum.

It's a good low and mid range intake for a 273/318.
 
Just got a note from the seller. It came off a 273 in his 65 Dart. He couldn't find a part number. tmm
