Magnums won't work on my LA273 will they?

It's possible but I would say no . Magnum heads oil the rockers through though the pushrods. LA's oil through a passage in the head.

There are work-arounds for Magnums onto Las.

Intake valves are too large to bolt onto a 273's small bore.
