318 grinding noise

hey, everyone im new to this site and im in desperate need for some help. I decided to change the spark plugs in my 318 dart and now it makes a grinding noise and almost sounds like a 2 stroke motorcycle and i dont know what is wrong or how to fix it does anyone have any advice?

Can you post a video? It would probably be quite helpful to hear the noises.

Did you get the spark plugs gaped, torqued correctly, and the wires back on where they belong? Are they the correct plug? Did you possible bump, break or remove a vacuum line?

like the PCV hose for example.

Did you remove the cap and rotor?
If yes, re-install the old rotor.

I'll try and get a video up over the weekend one of the ignition wires snapped as I was removing one to change the spark plug back to the old one.

If it runs, the plugs should be "fine". I can't say if they are right or wrong, just if it runs, they are working,lol.

Also what is the correct gap for the spark plugs in a 1972 dodge dart 318 i cant seem to find this info

.035 with the stock ignition.

First thing I would do is make sure I have all the tools I started with. Scraping noises after a spark plug change. It don't make sense.

some thing fall into a cylinder head when plug was out? remove spark plugs and check for damage

Did any plugs break the porcelain with the socket removal? A small peice/s can fall down easily and ruin your day..
