Here is a Brand Racing Engines video showing a nice little small block Mopar doing dyno pulls. Engine specs are near the end of the video.
why only 30*? thought he would have tried the magical 36* for SBM
all depends. My 436” W2 liked 32*. My current 355” W2 likes 37*.What’s the chamber like on a W2? No experience with them. They like 36 degs?
Compression similar? That is a significant difference!all depends. My 436” W2 liked 32*. My current 355” W2 likes 37*.
Just curious, why go from 436 to 355? more rpm?all depends. My 436” W2 liked 32*. My current 355” W2 likes 37*.
436” is 13:1Compression similar? That is a significant difference!
I shifted the 436” at 7200 rpm, 355” gets shifted at 7300 rpm. I sold the engine and put the car back to street and sold the car.Just curious, why go from 436 to 355? more rpm?
436” is 13:1
355” is 11.6

I had a 3.46” crank with BME aluminum rods with pistons sitting on the shelf so I put them in a 340 block so that’s why I went with smaller cubic inch. It’s what I had at the time
The reason I went with a bigger stoker is the car was 3900 lbs.Ah k, was just curious if it was a performance choice for some reason![]()
