340 engine mount

There's a guy over on Moparts that has one for sale. Look in the a body section, parts for sale. He wants $75 for it.
 
Hello,
Make sure that you get a A-Body 340 mount.
They are different than the E-Body 340 mount.
It is hard to tell the difference.The difference is the A-Body insulator holes are "forward on the bracket (towards the radiator),and the E-Body insulator holes are towards the back of the mount.I have seen many guys selling mounts as "340 mounts" that wont work because they are E-Body mounts.
If you need any help with this (pictures) let me know.

This 340 A-Body mount is getting hard to find ($75.00 on Moparts) will tell you that.
You can keep looking on the sites,E-bay etc....

Schumacher has 340 mounts,they go for right around (if I remember) $150.00 for the set,powder coated.Not a bad way to go.

PS: Might you be installing a 340/360 in a 318 car ?

If you send me a 318 mount I can fab it to work on a 340.

Before and after pics. These brackets are on a 450hp 360. Got another set going on a 500hp 360.

I thought 273/318 were the same, 340/360 were the same. I could be wrong, I went with Schumacher mounts! :D

Correct to the best of my knowledge.

273/318 are different than the 340/360 mounts. Only the drivers side is different, narrower on the 340/360.
 
I swapped out a 273 for a 340 this past winter in my '67 Barracuda. The 340 had motor mounts, but they were E-body. They wouldn't work. I got the motor mounts off the 273, they wouldn't work either. I looked up some old threads and I see where a couple guys shimmed the driver's side mount so it would fit snuggly. I chose to get new ones from Schumacher.
 
273,318,340,360 all have the same right (passenger) mount.

To install a 340/360 in a 318 car you need a A-Body 340 drivers side mount.
 
I think I have some mounts that came with a 340 I have, I'll have to find them. I have the cradle type so you can have the ones I got, you pay shipping.

I'll step in line. If every one passes on the mounts I'll buy them.
