340 has no timing tab...

piston stop. turn it till it quits and mark, now turn it the other way till it stops and mark. half way between the marks is TDC.

Got to have the right damper for that timing cover for example the early damper has marks at 10 oclock later at 1 or 2 oclock. but you could find tdc and put a timing tape on.
