And that is absolute nonsense. There is no head stud big enough to restrict the oil flow to the head.

There is a notch on the bottom of the rocker shaft at the end. Make sure the shaft is facing the correct direction. On the drivers side it is on the bottom front. On the passenger side it is on the bottom rear Seen many times the shafts were on wrong when they were assembled.

Could it simply be it has a solid lifter cam and the ticking is normal opertaion?

Seems like poor top end oiling has been a fairly common theme lately.
I was thinking that things did look a little dry in your pics.
Hope you get it sorted out.

Just to be clear…….. no oil being seen coming out of the rockers………and the cam being trashed… ….are not likely the same problem.

I've been helping this FABO family member via phone and text. Due to recent medical procedures, I haven't been able to see him in person. We've determined he has an LA 360 (5 bolt valve covers) and a Lunati cam number 10200302 Street Master. AN old catalog says it's a .507/.507 235/235 flat tappet hydraulic. He says he's got 40-60 PSI oil, but none reaching the left bank. He does have adjustable rockers, as you can see in his pictures. He sent me a photo of the shaft end on the left front of the engine. I enclosed a picture. I don't see a notch on the end. I've asked him to remove the right valve cover and look for oiling. That's where we stand. He's pretty upset. He doesn't have many mechanical skills, but he's willing to learn. I might be able to get to him next weekend to eyeball it, but this week is full with radiation treatments. Any help from the FABO brain trust is appreciated. More to follow. Paul
I do have a set of quality shafts I bought from a member years ago. The have the banana grooves in them. I'll donate them to the cause if they're needed. I told him about Lunati no longer supplying SBM cams, so he's aware of that. Paul.

I don't see a notch there, either. This would be good if we could walk him through getting the shafts on correctly and that was all that's wrong.

Agreed. I had plans for my shafts, but I'm in a better place than he is. He wants to throw in the towel and sell the car because he's frustrated. It's a beautiful car with lots of good parts. If I can help him, he'll be Mopar for life! I'll ask him to post some pictures of the car.

My Crane ones that came with my Gold Race never had notches. Yiu had to know how to put them on. Not all shafts have notches.
That's true, but I'm pretty sure his are Mopar pieces. We'll find out. Thanks for the help.

Any suggestions on repairs in the Daytona area. I don't have the mechanical ability. I don't want to pay 2K for labor camshaft timing chain and lifters.
