The heads are likely just smogger heads. They are based on the same casting as earlier heads,just need some extra port work.

Get the comp up for sure cut those heads! Get it no higher than 9:1 unless your into pinging! Everyone has different result's depending on thier combo and compression,type of gas bought etc but unless the motor has proper quench it's gonna ping with higher than 9:1.

I normally run a mix of turbo blue, and 92 octane, so I shouldn't have a problem with pinging.

Sounds like too much work for a little BANG. Saving up for a set of Aluminium Heads for my other build.
