Ok so I was given one of these for free but information on them seems to be very limited. I'd like to rebuild it back to stock specs if possible but was wondering if the parts were reproduced. Mainly the so called "new cylinder heads".

Decent enough looking engine anyways. Figuring that I'd drop it into the Dart sometime in the future. :D

is there HP stamped on the pad? im reasonably certian that is the chrysler version of the (330 horse) 383 magnum (HP) dodge engine with 906 heads

Nothing overly special. Same as all other HP 338s.
Yep. Chryslers version of the 383 Mag. They made a big deal about the "906" cylinder heads. They didn't tell you it was an across the board head, right down to the 383 2 barrel. My '68 Newport 2 bbl has them. Just good ole marketing.

"Back in the day" the B.S.'ers loved to try and tell ya, "yeh, I gotta 383, but it's got 440 heads"

Yeah that and I cannot count the number of people I've heard tell stories about the "440 Hemi" they had back in the day.
