422 dyno fail

-
I also paid to have this air gap intake gasket matched but we did that after the dyno session so I don’t know what if anything that added. I do know that quite a bit of material was taken out.

My 414 made 460hp@5300, 510ft;lbs@3900. It has a 850 Holley, worked Air Gap, ported Mopar performance iron heads, advertised to flow 275@.650 lift. 1.6 PRW rockers, Comp 242/252, .558/.572 on 106 cam. Step dish 9.4 comp. pistons, TTI 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 step headers. I would have expected this engine to at least match mine for torque if not hp as well. Glad you got it sorted out. Mine is a blast to drive. Especially behind a 4 speed and 3.55 gears. Trying to figure out how to reach over 500hp now. Thinking I need more cam, single plane intake, 1 7/8 headers.

He made 455 hp and 512tq.

Cool to see the original poster get that engine sorted out. Pretty solid numbers for the given parts and an excellent engine for its intended purposes.
