4spd carpet

I have a standard set up in my Dart. Im going auto. My question is...If you get a new carpet for say a 4speed is there any holes cut out in the carpet for the shifter? Do you do it yourself? I dont plan on cutting out the hump. Leave it for a change latter on maybe. Thanks everyone.

No holes, u cut it out.

No holes, but I believe 4spd vs a floor shift auto are molded a bit differently

I realize there different in molds but a auto carpet wont fit the hump for standard. If theres no hole in the carpet for a standard shifter i can cover that hole and cut a hole were its needed for the auto floor shift.

Yes. That way if i do change to a 4speed later???? I will be able to use the hump. Thanks all.

is there a fiberglass hump that goes under the carpet thats goes over the 4 speed floor hump i thought remember seeing one

Original ones were metal but repops are available in glass or metal. Either one or the other, not both.

Yes it was for the 4spd consoles only. It was curved and looked almost like paper mache...chk this link I started, it has pics of the part you are talking about
