5.7 cam job dealerships did wrong?

I see. At this point, the sad reality is, just the lifters can be covered by the warranty if they had a warranty in the first place. The parts warranty will not cover any damages caused by the defective part, that is unfortunately how the parts game works. However, you are free to try and sue the manufacturer of the parts for the damages, but good luck with that.

Modern day Chrysler or Shitlantis have no pride and a bunch of the new parts are made by the lowest bidder in whatever bumblefuck country that's not in North America or Europe.

Sorry for the negative truth, I wish you luck.
They should not have did a lifter and cam with out cleaning the entire engine because the metal is in the oil pan and now cover the crankshaft with debris from the repair and now wipe out the main bearing....is what they said is now bad And not covered..

They told me they did not clean it and sadly I only know what they tell me but when it went down this time I took it to the shop in Tennessee dodge dealership and this was what they found

Dude You got Fu<ked because the warranty time flat rate means the Tech loses His *** doing it right. The dealers have a nice combo of clueless/ingnorant, & flat-out lying service writers....they rarely put somebody informed & honest in that position these days.
100% it's they're fault, 100% they owe You a new engine, the "top-end vs bottom-end don't mix" doesn't apply here even if it were true. The 'rocker noise' wasn't a "top-end failure", and ANYTHING, ANYWHERE in the entire engine that self destructs goes EVERYWHERE it can. If it makes it to the pan, only the stuff large enough for the screen to block is trapped, everything else gets circulated damaging the pump & beyond, no......the filter will only catch some of it, because the 1st time You rev the engine up, the volume bypass opens & sends it to every passage/gallery/OCV screen/tappet there is to find.
A good Dealer will go to the Mfr., & escalate it, but You should go to RAM or whatever over any dealer's head at this point. When the Mfr. finds out what transpired, they'll bounce the warranty claim by the 1st dealer, & can make them eat the repairs by the 2nd dealer as well.....tho' they may just cover the engine job at the 2nd.
MAKE NOISE & TELL THEM AN ATTORNEY IS NEXT if they don't make it right.

from what I have read and understand is that the lifter failed and broke the engine. So debris were made from the roller lifter failure eating the cam for the second time and clogged the oil passages and wiped out the main bearings. Honestly, why did you bring an out of warranty truck to the dealer? There are plenty of independent shops that will do a better job.

It was under a extended warranty and had be done at a dealership

When my Challenger R/T (2009) was rear ended, The General wouldn't pay for proper repair nor the lost value when a $25,000 Challenger has $17,000 in damages. I was covered by Farmers Insurance and they handled all the loss except for Diminished Valuation. I took The General to Small Claims court and got a judgement against them for $8,000 which was max allowed in Colorado for Small Claims. So, I would recommend taking your case to Small Claims Court and just be honest with the Judge about the situation. In my case, the Judge was reasonable and sympathetic. Judgement was immediate and The General paid up within 3 days.
My brother had a similar case when an tire/alignment shop put 10mm course thread lugs on a fine thread stud using an impact wrench. Studs had to be broken off to get the wheel off the truck. Small Claims case was won, and he had the cost covered.
Good luck with this!
