5.7 to 6.1 oil pump upgrade

When upgrading a 5.7 to a 6.1 oil pump, does it still use the 5.7 timing chain and other components or do I need to use the 6.1 components?

May as well change the timing chain set up with a 6.1 while your there.

I heard that you need to modify the timing cover to fit the 6.1 timing cover.

I don’t recall hearing that, might want to look into it.

No mods necessary. All interchangeable. Would definitely do an upgraded timing set.

Is it just the chain I should upgrade or are the sprockets part of the upgrade as well?

It comes as a complete set, gears, chain, guides etc.
