5.7L hemi Duster/resto.

sounds like you have alot going on. im still beating around the idea about a cage in the car. i realy dont wanna lose my rear seat...

well if your going to race it and are installing a boosted hemi I'm guessing you will need it. And will not get the option after your first pass down the track. Because if your at a nhra track it will be required.

yeah this is true. so what are you going to use to tune your boosted hemi?

hood that i got for $35.00 couldnt pass it up and since i kind of like the flat front end it will work out good

the last pic is of the rust damage around the tail light. im not to upset about this find since i have already made plans to eliminate the stock tail lights.

yeah it will be alot more fun with an engine and trans in it....but till then more cutting grinding and welding

the cutting grinding and welding is fun too. :) I love being able to make the metal do what I want it to. And seeing the end result come out how I picture it.

yeah very true. ill get to do that once i get to the tail lights. i have some plans for that area of the car that will require some fab work

got the trunk extention pannel put on and everything primer sealed hopfully next weekend i can get the quarter pannel put on and move on to the mini tub.

thanks tin

what engine management system did you use for your hemi? im looking for a fuel injected system that can run with forced induction via turbos. I know i saw some one using a f.a.s.t. system but cant remember if it was on a hemi or not.

I'm using a factory pcm, but I'm pretty sure the fast will work for you. You better have deep pockets.....

haha yea i hear that. ive been looking into the FAST XFI and they make a kit for it for like $3200.00 that gives you a 92mm cable opperated throtle body and all the harnesses. If i go with the OEM setup the guys at shop hemi tell me it will work if i use the 05 setup due to tunability since im planning on turbos tunability is key. and they can dyno it and tune it for me for like $1200.00 not sure what route im goin to go with. how was hooking up the oem harness? did you eliminate alot of things/wires?

I got the Drivers side quarter panel installed and luckily I didn't run into fitment issues like i did on the other side..

I decided to go with the stock Computer and harness for now

Ive been messing with a 2003 hemi harness triing to get it set up to work on a 05 hemi PCM. So far it looks good. Most of the pins are in the same location for the PCM. Only thing im not sure about is what wires I can get away with out like the transmitions ones due to me using a old 883 four speed.

Dose anyone know anyone who re-programes these Computers to eliminate things like EGR, vent purge's, rev limiters ect???

I live in central PA but ill ship it drive it or through it as far as i need to to get it done right

got one side shaved this weekend. Im looking at geting some allmetal body filler to start the body work on the quarters and tail pannel. has anyone used it?

I've been using AllMetal for years, I use it anywhere I have done welding, in the event there is a pinhole. The allMetal is waterproof, and regular body filler is not..

yeah i used duraglass on the other quarter pannel but i think im going to wire wheel it off and use the allmetal instead just because i hear its more durable...?

tin what do you plan to do when u paint your car to blend in you jams and engine compartment?

i was thinking of painting it all at once but it would be much easier to paint the engine compartment and jams then do the rest of the car.

did you use sealer?

Sag,

Just discovered your page and it looks good.

You have done a lot of work thus far, I am interested to see what you plan for the tail

lights.

Im using a stock 2004 computer that has been reflashed by B & G in Warren Mi. They turned off the rear o2's ,egr valve, up the rev limiter and the idle a 100 rpms.
