5.9 motor mounts?

how are you guys mounting the 5.9 magnum engines in the early a-body's. are they the same as other small blocks? would any early a-body small block engine mount work?

i believe you need a standard 340/360 mount for them...

The Magnums have provisions for both the newer truck motor mounts and LA style mounts. I haven't attached my Early A V8 mounts yet, but the motor mount ears on the front of my 5.9 look like standard LA ones to me.

Mine is not really early, but in my 73 I used standard mounts from Schumacher. Mine was an original 318 and went to a 408 based on a 92 360 magnum block.

yes they bolt right on, magnum engines have dual mounting pads, old style LA and newer style magnum
