I have a 66 Barracuda project that I hope to start work on this summer. The car started life as a 273/904 car . I already have a 360 core and an A833 OD, which was my original plan. However, I would now like to run a 5 or 6 speed transmission.
As cheaper option than something like the american powertrain conversion, I was wondering about using a junkyard transmission from a Camaro, Mustang or Challenger.
Has anyone one a swap like this with a T56, TR6060 or TR3650?
I'm not worried about cutting the floor as the car is a shell at this point.
I do wonder about specifically about which bellhousing, clutch and the input shaft spline count. I would assume that a T56 would be the easiest, but probably the most expensive option. Any input would be great!
