Sweet, Would love to have something like that, even just as yard decoration! I’d just get the stereo and gauge lights to work and sit in it at night listening to 50’s music and drink beer. Saw this 56 Imperial at a show (it won best of show) up in Farmington NC, freshly restored, absolutely beautiful and stunning in person, what a mammoth undertaking when you look at how complex everything was on these era cars.
Back then, there was a theme, Dodge named their stuff after royalty. Custom Royal Lancer had a knights head emblem with a jousting lance. Coronet means a crown that a prince wears. Plymouth named their line-up after New York hotels...Plaza, Savoy, Belvedere.
Before he bought his 66 Belvedere Hemi 4-speed brand new (which he still has all these years later) a friend of mine had this 57 Dodge. Had a bad engine when he bought it, so he dropped a 392 in it from a 57 New Yorker. Totally stock New Yorker engine, so it wasn't all that fast, but still cool.
I got the parts car home for my '57 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer, this one is a '57 Dodge Royal Lancer. It's an American car, whereas the Custom Royal is Canadian. This one has a 325 Poly. Looks like nobody ever opened the trunk, good usable sets of door panels, beautiful headliner, good arm rests, lots of trim and pieces, headliner bows, dome light lenses, a chrome power steering horn ring, and ultra rare dual antennas with all the wiring!! Unfortunately I can't save them all, so this one is destined for parts for my other one. Good usable quarters, lots of small things mine is missing.

For one thing, that 325 Dodge poly is basically a Dodge hemi with poly heads, and can be converted to a 325 Dodge hemi with Dodge hemi heads. Don't throw it away.
I think someone here was looking for a passenger side exhaust manifold for one of those engines. Has generator mount cast into it.
I'll be putting it in the back with the rest, and picking away at it for years to come. I would be a fool to let go of good parts that I may need someday, considering I can't find anything like this, anywhere near me, other than where I got this one.
No, they are completely different motors, and the Dodge's bore spacing is way smaller than the A/LA. The early (53-58) Dodge hemi/poly has one of the smallest - if not the smallest - bore spacings (distance between the bores) of any modern American V8.
