Hello all,
I’m in the process of swapping a 6.1-Nag1 combo into my 67 dart. I’m using the Holley engine and transmission mounts, along with the Holley headers.

The nag1 is a tight fit but clears after some shaving on the transmission and massaging of the tunnel.
I’m wondering what others have done for the dipstick/filler tube. Did you use the stock tube and notch the tunnel? Has anyone found a flexible dipstick/fillet tube?

Thanks,

Not really a dip stick tube is it? In my experiance its a filler tube.

I have put a 6.1 with a 904 in a 73 Scamp. Using a Lokar type dipstick/tube. It frickin sucks. Haven't really looked into what can be chop/cut/ or welded to make it work. Whatever it is, it would be worth it. That Lokar cable/stick tube situation is absolute dogshit.......

Hi! Any solution for the nag one? I couldn’t get the stock tube out in front of the firewall. I think a flexible one would be great. I was also thinking about just capping it up and check by going under with a little dipstick. Like my f150.

I ended up marking the area the dipstick should go, pulled the transmission and massaged the area with a nice size hammer. After that I bent the tube a just a little bit for good measure. It is close ~1/4 inch from the tunnel.
