is there a difference from 61/62 valiant fenders?my book says no but im putting a 61 togeather and the side curved grille trim doesnt want to line up,i put on 2 fdrs yrs ago and cant remember if they were 61 or 62,grille fits fine,im stumped

They have suttle differences. 61's have a shield behind the head light bucket assembly, 62's don't.
The Grilles were different as you already know.
Here in Oz, the 61, was sold here in 62, called an RV1 Valiant....1008 units sold in 3 months, all 4dr sedans, then they brought over the 62 models, the SV1.....again, all 4dr sedans....they were sold till halfway through 63.
The first few months, they were brought in wholus-bolus ( chassis number stamped on radiator upper panel ), then they were assembled here from USA stamped out panels ( chassis number was stamped on right hand inner guard panel ), which is the model I have.
In 1963, the AP5 was released, 4dr sedans & wagons, and were stamped out here, except for some panels, trims, etc.
The badging/exterior trims differed here, like the V100/V200....never got here.

yep, curved side trim for 62 is only for 62 fdrs,61 wont fit,i put on 62 trim, looks ok but not right, dont have a good set of 61 fdrs to fix it yet
