Not much. A couple of grand if shes in good shape. More for the restorer. I like'em myself. They'll make a cool street rod.

Holy Toledo Robin! They've found my bat car! :batman:

No, seriously, that thing could be cool. Paint it black, set up the suspension with some rake, put some big fat tires on the back and mini-tub it if you're handy with a mig welder. Torque thrusts would look great for wheels. Drop a big block in (it probably already has a 413), and stick one of those Mr. Gasket blower lookin' scoops on the carb. Make sure it sticks up through the hood. :toothy7: If you do it right, everyone would want to know what the hell it was and you'll probably never run into another one. How good is the sheet metal? Bring cash, offer $500, see where it gets you. Tell him fenders are impossible to find. Who can afford a '70 Challenger/Cuda anymore anyways? If it grows on you, go for it! Don't expect to make any cash on it though.

This car would be a great street rod.A mopar owner in Ontario Canada has one of these with a blown 440 in it and tubed and its insane, its low, fast, eye popping, the works.Sell off the power train, install a newer power plant and redo the brakes and suspension, instant rad ride,Mrmopartech

My Grandmother gave me a 61 Seneca to use in a demo derby at Flamboro. What a F'in idiot I am. These 61's are cool looking cars, and you could make yours into one original hotrod. I like the black idea, some cool 18 inch rims,slammed,etc...

here in va. there is a junk yard that i know of that has a few of these cars in there. fender would be no problem. there is also carlisle too.

well i have just seen one dodge phoenix in my whole life over here in sweden and we have alot of these late 50´s to early 60´s fullsize cars over here , so i guese those are pretty rare, if i where you i would buy it if its reasonably priced and then either restore it so that it looks like it did in 61 or build it into a nice weekend cruiser with a hot bigblock and fat tires in the rear ;)

i'm still in negotiations with the owner,
a lost title is making it harder to buy.
little details he forgot to mention till he
had me on the hook keep cropping up .
it will work its self out, i'm sure.

what engines were avaible in these cars?

1961

1961 Dodge Dart advertising image showing a three-quarter view of the automobile. The reverse fins (which became smaller towards the rear of the car) proved unpopular with American consumers. The Dart emerged again in 1961 as the smallest full-size Dodge (118 in, 2997 mm wheelbase), restyled to emulate but not duplicate the senior Dodge Polara (which had a 122 in, 3099 mm wheelbase). Darts were again subdivided into three trim levels: the premium Phoenix, mid-range Pioneer, and base Seneca.

Engines choices available started with Chrysler's new-for-1960 225 in³ (3.7 L) Slant-6 engine; the 318 in³ (5.2 L) and 361 in³ (5.9 L) V8s were also available in various configurations. Phoenix convertibles were all equipped with V8 engines. Beginning in mid-year, some Darts ordered with the 225 in³ engine were equipped with the die-cast aluminum block. Darts in all series were equipped as standard with three-speed, column-shifted manual transmissions. Chrysler's pushbutton-shifted TorqueFlite automatic was available at extra cost.

also found this......

The D500 performance option was offered for the last time in 1961, but it was toned down from the year before. It now included a standard four barrel carb, or optional ram induction dual carbs (which were standard the year before).

Production: The 361 engine was slightly detuned for 1961, but that was overshadowed by the introduction of a new 383 cid V8 option, in either Police or Ram trim.
Engines: 318 V8 (2bbl) 230 bhp @ 4400 rpm, 340 lb-ft @ 2400 rpm. 318 V8 (4bbl) 260 bhp @ 4400 rpm, 345 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm. 361 V8 305 bhp @ 4800 rpm, 395 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm. 383 (Police) V8 325 bhp @ 4600 rpm, 425 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm. 383 (Ram) V8 330 bhp @ 4800 rpm, 460 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm.

man, you went all out on the research 7Demon2 :thumbrig:
thank you!
at this point, the owner has told me he bought the car
4 years ago and never had the title put in his name.
he does have the title but cannot find it.
he said it was traded 3 or 4 times before he got it with
an open title.
the car has a lic. tag from Georgia 1983.
i,d like to have the car, but am unsure how to
handle the title problem.
i'm going to wait awhile longer to see if he can
come up with the title.

Not worth too much cause they are not a "rare desired muscle car" but they ARE VERY cool IMO. hardest part about redoing stuff like those and the similar early A's is the lack of restoration parts especialy sheet metal...its not like you can buy reproduction quarters and stuff(mabey you can now but a few years ago you could not..thats what stoffed me from getting a early Dart) and its junkyard stuff for replacment panels and well what ever you need to restore it...its not like you could call year one/hardings/paddock and order a lot od stuff for it....thats one reason why IMO they are so cool...you don't see them!
