The first shop on my Tuesday route is a big body shop. They do a fair amount of older cars and do them well. A couple weeks ago a silver 65 Barracuda showed up with hood damage. Apparently the hood wasn't latched properly and it flew up and took out the windshield. The hood and the cowl were damaged as well as the roof and the tops of the fenders. So far the repairs are going well. I hope to sneak in tomorrow and see if it is all together. I didn't take very good photos today but you get the idea. It's silver with black stripes and red interior. It is a 273-2 with the Hurst shifted 4 speed. It is also a ps/pb car. The Cragar SS wheels make it look good. tmm

Damn, looks good to me! Apparently, the hood wasn't retained by the hook safety latch. I had a 57 Ford and the hood came up on me, and the hood is hinged backwards on that! rose up about rearview height and stayed there until I pulled over...

I see they are blending the fenders, but why did they remove them if they still have to cover the car to refinish the cowl? You said the cowl was damaged, right?
Nice color combo.

I think he covered everything to repaint the stripes on the roof. It is a pretty car! tmm
