"What is this?"
"It's a 65 Barracuda, yep, its the original paint"
"Wow, that is cool....Whats something like this worth?
"15 to 20...."
I think he coughed after that and I believe I heard a "Bullshit" in there but that might have been me..
No it wasnt an "S" and it wasnt restored....

Double edged sword that will eventually come I believe for the stepchild Abodies but as values increase so will restoration parts cost.

I have already seen the prices increase. I bought complete 2nd generation Barracudas for less than what just the grilles are selling for now.

its always been funny to me how a "hard to find part" for say a model that isn't worth squat or (semi squat), how that part can bring more than the 99% complete project car!!!??????
more times than not a project car can be parted out for more than it will bring as a buildable project. ??????? sad but somewhat true!!????
but then I guess ya can look at it like this: if a mopar is worth the sum of the project, the parts, the labor...... we could sell our car for that total!!???? LOL the REASON its ALWAYS cheaper to buy a "done" car!!????
onkly thing that stalls that is lack of $$$$ or sticker shock!!??? LOL
I admit I enjoy workin on them, learning, and bustin knuckles, BUT i have always enjoyed buying one done I could just drive!!!!!

Kinda ruins their credibility for pricing antiques. But I always thought that when they buy things, list them on what they think it is worth, then post a profit based on what they thing it will bring. Maybe it will, maybe it won't!

I paid $125 for my 67 formula S notchback 4 speed car
