Anyone know if these cars are popular?

johnnycuda -- I see that You are from Tucson. I have a Duster that came from there. -- It was bought, new, at Rollings Motor Company, 901 East Broadway, Tucson Az. - Picture attached. It's a 70 with a 71 grill. --

1) the leave it alone and cruise her guys,and
2) the drop a 273 into it guys, and
3) the don't hold back, slam a 360 into it, and let-her buck, guys, of which I would be one.
But there are few survivors left, so popular is kindof relative.

Cool, guy in town is selling it looks rust free

Any trouble spots to look for?
 
looking good! no rust what so ever, chrome is nice.
Puurrs as much as a 6 can "Quiet too"
Nice 4 inch bolt patten cragars, Drum brakes stop well no pulling.
No P/s, manual top i love it! AM radio still works woo hoo 99k miles
I just bought it. decent top two tears . Tranny shifts nice 3 spd.
gonna clean up nice. Have to check on that AC unit no belt.

It's almost 54 years old, so yeah everything is a potential trouble spot. With the high cost of bodywork these days, I guess that should be your primary focus; good luck.
 
The biggest trouble spot on an early A body is in the Bell flange of the cowl, where the heater box and drivers side fresh air box mounts to!

Wish me luck, driving cross town and hasn't made a trip like that in 5 years.
 
Thats sweet. I like that body better than the Dart, but both are cool. My friend had a 64 Dart Vert with skirts. Aqua blue with matching interior. Perfect but the suspension was sagging/shot and the distributor advance was frozen. He took a 2yr job in Kuwait as an A/C contractor and had to sell it.
