When I put the right turn signal on the front flashes on the right side -- The rear flashes on the left side. -- Possible causes ?

If the front flashes on the left side and the rear flashes on the right then you have the rear bulb sockets goingto the wrong side.

What is the back story? Did this "just happen?" Did you change the TS switch, the harness, or had something apart?

Current seeks best ground. If one rear bulb base isn't chassis grounded well, the current might find its best ground path through park circuit to oposite rear bulb and fixture. There are multiple scenarios possible. Step on brake pedal and both turn indicators come on is one example. Good hunting

Check the ground on the passenger side rear bulb. For a quick test, you can run a temporary ground wire from the bulb socket to a good ground, then see if the trouble goes away.

It is possible that the switch has caught the "waltzing contacts" disease. I would pull all four lamps, jumper across the flasher socket with a wire to get constant power, and then first either jam the brake pedal or get a helper, be sure it has brakes power to both sides, TS switch in neutral. Then select either left or right, and check for power on the correct side, AND check for correct "no power" on un used side.

I spose it's possible a ground problem, although I can't bring that up in my mind, or maybe an internally shorted lamp

I'm betting on the switch.

The brake lights both work as they should -- the ground must be OK ???

None of us want the issue to be behind the steering wheel. The signal switch has a harness connector. We can diagnose the switch there with a simple test light. Only need to know what color casing represent which lamp.

and that will be in the FSM.

The brake and rear turn ground is probbaly OK.
Turn on the tail lights to confirm.
Front, side-markers, inside indicator ... unknown
Does it have hazards?
What vehicle and relevant options (such as fender indicators)?
