66 Barracuda front grill

Hello out there...
Thanks for having me. Can anyone tell me the best budget way, even doing it myself, to restore the front grills on my 66 Barracuda? I'm not sure what its made of, cast iron metal maybe? But I'd like to get a nice chrome look out of it. ANy help and expertise would greatly be appreciated.

pretty sure that's pot metal. heavy like CI, but just pot metal

That's a hard task to under take unless you're good at chroming cast material...

I think you should look into having it powder-coated.
