Hi all. I’ve been trying to fix some issues that have been bugging me since I bought my 1966 dart convertible a couple years ago. Trying to get the windows and top aligned, and I got to looking at the weather stripping and it all seems backwards to me. Am I crazy or did the previous owner get this all installed backwards? Shouldn’t the weatherstripping come down lower on the inside, and stay higher in the outside? And the header seal has big gaps in the corners with the doors closed, is it backwards also?

Thanks!

Also, I got door seals, and with them in place it’s almost impossible to latch the doors. Is this normal? Will it eventually squish down to the proper size?

Things look basically right

The red should be locked into the green

That leaves the outside part lower than the inside. So if I close the door with the window up, the window just hits the outside. If I close the door with the windows down, and then roll them up, the window goes into the little channel between the two. Is the outside not supposed to be a bit higher, so when you close the door, the window pops past it and into the channel?

Thanks

The glass seal should align to the rear of the front header bow seal
