66 dart rear tire width

Just looking for some info and inspiration on what is the widest I can go on the width of a rear tire on my 66 dart? I currently have 14in rallies sbp and would like to stay with those wheels. Aswell as who makes a good street/strip tire? Thanks, J-RAT. :burnout:

Ill have to get pictures later but on my 66 Dart I have the following:
fronts are 14x5.5"---205-70-14
rears are 14x7"or8"------215-70-14

They fit on the car really well with no issues at all.
This is the only picture I have of the wheels on the car at the moment. (not to great of a picture)

From what I hear you can clear a 235-60-14 on a early a-body but you could probably squeeze a 245-60-14.

Thanks for the info. I see you are from Clovis, I lived in albuquere all of last year and had to move back to Illinois after I got laid off, and miss livin out west.
