'66 Valiant Instrument Cluster--proper bulbs

The '66 Valiant instrument cluster has seven bulbs

2 for the speedo

1 for oil

1 for the turn signal

1 each for the gas, temp and alt gauges.

Each of the bulbs in my cluster were 194's. I tried to replace them with LED types, but the result was not as I had expected--dim.

Are 194's the proper bulb type for each position?

194's worked for me, and plenty bright.

Thanks! I pulled the LED's and went with standard 194. Problem solved.
