66 Valiant Signet,..stripes...

I want to put stripes on my car,.it a 66 Valiant Signet. The color of the car is gold. I want to put black satin colored stripes or flat black stripes using vinyl. My questions is this,.first satin black or flat black? The other is how wide the stripe should be? Since the hood is 56" wide and the trunk is 54 inches wide,..I was thinking two 12" stripes or 10". BUT I would like it to look even,...the spacing from the edge of the hood and the center of the hood. Like this Dart,.but no scoops. How would I calculate this so it's correct and get the width of the stripe right? Also,.no over the roof with the stripes.

Thank you. I'll have to do some measuring. I think what I'm going to use is a chalk line and snap lines on the hood to get what I think looks good.

Get some wide black tape. (Duct tape comes in black) Play with it until you like what you see, then measure.

I would go with satin, it's easier to keep clean

you could also use Plasi Dip, it peels of easy
