Alright this is my first post so go easy on me.
67 Barracuda 383 4 speed for what it’s worth.
My parking lights (front and rear) and dash backlighting come on when turn the key to either run or accessory with the headlight knob fully pushed in. When I adjust the dimming knob on the light switch with the knob in, my parking lights (front and rear) adjust from off to bright, not the console lights. When I pull the knob out to parking or lights on there’s no adjustment with spinning the knob. Brand new switch put in today. Same behavior with old switch. All wires are in their correct spot according to the diagrams. I believe the hazard switch is bad. Not sure if this is the cause. Someone mentioned on Facebook it may be the turn signal switch. Brake lights, parking lights and turn signals all function normally other than the above issues. Hope this makes sense! I’m stumped as all get out.

This is a new one and we don't see many. Definitely a short circuit somewhere. I have to ask how long you have had this car and/or this problem. Previous owner added a wire to create daytime running lights?
B2 at headlight switch powers park lamps and illumination but thats as far as this current path should go with light switch off. Current to all these lamps is coming from somewhere else. And its something that is only hot at ign' switch on. Brake and hazard are hot at all times. Good hunting

Do you have the '67 Barracuda shop manual supplement? This is the best and and most accurate diagram for your car. Even so, there's a couple of differences in junction location that I've found.

I agree the basic problem seems to be a cross wire short or mix up.

One approach is to disconnect power and check continuity between the fuse box and the headlight switch connector.
Removing the fuses will further let you isolate the wiring if you find continuities where there shouldn't be.
Here's the relationships. (the splice to the instrument lamps is not actually one big splice but that's not important at the moment)

Inside the fuse box would be one place to look. I found that if/when we unbolt the fuse box and rotate it, twisting on the wiring, the female terminals inside can pull off. When we put it back in original position the terminal could lay back close and create a short.

I have had it about a week. Inside the car, everything looks untouched minus the headlight switch which I replace and the ignition switch.

I have the supplemental wiring diagram and am currently tracing everything based on what it says.

I unplugged the hazard switch and the turn signal switch to eliminate them as they were suggested as potential points on another forum. No change.

I pulled the fuse for the instrument channel and that got rid of the parking lights turn on with key power. Dash lights are still coming on with key power, headlight switch off.

Based on the fuse results and the diagrams from Mattax, I’m think my problem is on the orange circuit.

My next step is to pull fuses until I eliminate the dash light always on issue and see what is common between that circuit and the instrument circuit.

UPDATE! UPDATE!

Tracing the orange circuit led me to the radio where I found the radio hot wire and orange wire twisted together. Removing the the plugged solved the entire problem!

Thank you RedFish and Mattax!
