Hi all, attempting to restore 67 cuda grille, I'm thinking i will end up replacing most rivets, screws etc.
Right now looking for t-bolts, #8 machine screw thread with a square head 0.28x0.28(thereabouts) and any rivet leads.
Thanks
Steve

Might have to try a want ad for those. Strange looking critters for sure. Can you make some? A round head, truss, or pan head could be ground with flats easily.

Hi Steve,

These are available at Home Depot.

Scroll down to the pics of the bolts.

Would they work for you??

‎POWERTEC 48 in. Heavy-Duty Aluminum T-Track Specialized T Slot Track for 3/8 in. Hex Bolt and T Bolts 1/4 in.-20 and 5/16 in.-18 71379 - The Home Depot

Steve, lots of options out there. I just googled T bolt and square t bolt

Fastenall, McMaster Carr, Grainger, Amazon,

If push comes to shove I can CAD up some and have them made in Stainless or Aluminum.

Thanks Al, that's US site, different than our Canuck site. I went to HD and they didnt have anything. Kinda surprised. Checked Home Hardware/ HBC, nothing.
Specialty shop Bolts Plus is next on my list.
Thanks @Dana67Dart i saw them on Amazon, but none as small as #8 Machine thread. Smallest I saw was #8mm and I don't want metric.
Appreciate the fab offer, but I may just grind a hex head down.

Steve , I went through this a few years back and about 3 moves. I had a box of small rivits and bolts from then. I think I may still have shat crap in a box somewhere around if I can find it. I don't recall what I used for those . I see what I can find.

Steve, there are also T-nuts that you could slide in then put a stud into it.

Some locktite to keep the stud in.

Example...
T-Nuts

Well Steve ,I guess this is what I used.. probably not much help.
Had to grind them down to fit the slot.

These may be too short. They have longer with full thread but taller heads......

Is the red arrow Metal?

The stud (blue arrow) goes through the hole in the bracket?

This looks like missing material (green arrows)? if so what was there?

Bought some from you, but they were nuts only. I see you did have some for sale at some point lol.

I think it's yours or Ts writing ziplock bag I have lol.
I stopped at Bolts Plus today and bought #8 hex nuts, gonna see if I can grind them to fit and use loctite with 1" of threaded rod cut from screw....worth a shot lol.
Another of yours.
When u were redoing your 67 grill

I have one more 67 grill with those factory bolts still on them. It would take most the day to get them off without breaking them off if I got lucky.
I would do about $1000 for em !! :elmer:

Yep, tedious bs for sure AL! I'm looking at my orig grills and think I'll be fine cleaning them up as opposed to redoing these other ones.
Cali car, so rust free but a couple small dings in the outer alum. May have to just live with the dings.
