Any one know if the lower w/shield mld on a convert is different from the hard top?? mine is gone.
any one have one for sale??

i got a 67 vert' in my backyard, ill go out tomorrow and get the snow off of it and take a look for you, if no one answers you by then, which would probably be rare on this site haha

Yes, convert is different. Hardtops have a metal (stainless, i believe) trim piece and '67-only convertibles have a plastic chrome "lockstrip" piece. Finding an NOS one is next to impossible. I have the one from YearOne installed on my Dart. Purists can tell the difference, but really, no-one else can tell.

Hope this helps....

The lock strip used in the ramchargers will also work. it is slightly narrower but once installed you really cannot tell. You can get a roll of it from chrysler (that is if they still have it) cheaper than year one and have enough to do a couple of cars.

Well, the Ramcharger stuff must be different, 'cause the Year One stuff won't roll up....you'd kink it if you tried. They sent it in a long tube when I ordered it. See attached pic....

The convertible '67-only piece is actually more than just a lockstrip...it is a reveal moulding as well. From the side, it's a "T" shape, with the tail of the "T" sticking into the window gasket, locking in the glass,, and the top part of the "T" laying on top of the window gasket, covering it slightly.
