Can the slant six k frame be used reliably with schumacher small block conversion mounts? Or should I just get the v8 kframe? Thanks.

Yes no problem with the conversion mounts

That being said, if you can get a 68 up small block / big block k frame it will allow you to replace the idler arm with the thru bolt style

Thank You.

No problem with the 67 idler arm mount, just more expensive as it was one year only...
Thanks. I can get a 70 v8 k frame, just figuring the budget on this surprise purchase. I have a 340 built to 68 specs and wondered if I should change it.

Provision for anti-sway bar would sway (lol) my decision.

I swapped a small block into my 67 slant six Dart using TransDapt #4695 mounts. I needed about 5/8" spacers behind the front left ear for them to work. After that, the engine and trans went in like it was made for it. The stock hood closes with an Edelbrock airgap, no carb spacer, and a drop down 14 x 3" air cleaner.

Having a V8 K-frame makes everything easier, no special parts plus you get the standard 68-72 idler arm mount.

I have a good used 67 v8 K member pulled from a low miles rust free Tx car. The guy was converting it to coil overs.
