Is it the type that doesn't have the timing marks cast in? By my measurements this balancer would work if that was the case. I think those covers use a stamped metal timing pointer??

If you have one without the timing boss I'll trade you mine for it. I really don't wanna go through the hassle of returning this balancer.

Well the only girl went under the knife again last night. She never knew what hit her. Hopefully this is the last major re-constructive surgery she has to go through. Seems like a lot of work to gain 2.5" but ask any woman if 2.5" makes a difference.... Lol.

Finished up the mini-tub tonight. Slapped some POR 15 (starting to love this stuff) on it and I'll seam seal it when I redo the seams in the trunk. Quite happy with the way it turned out and glad I did it now and not after the paint job. Once it's seam sealed I think it will be almost undetectable to the untrained eye. Now it's time to finish the body work and get some paint on her!!

Luckily I have a welding pro where I work. I had him put a bead around my water pump input so I could shorten it. I also had him fix a few spots where corrosion had made the walls thin on the timing cover Mad Dart gave me (thanks again Louis!) After I sand blast it and fly-cut the water pump mounting surface on the Bridgeport it should look like new....

Success!! Everything lines up perfectly. Hard to believe that's the same cover pictured above. A little welding, machining, and paint can do wonders. I countersunk the bolt hole by the fuel pump because clearance to the water pump inlet was pretty tight. Clocked the fuel pump and now the inlet isn't in the way of the water pump but it will take an interesting radiator hose to get past the pump itself. Maybe I'll just end up running an electric pump.... Now I need to get one of the sheet metal timing pointers.

Damn that looks good Jaime! I like the countersink Idea. That bolt is always a problem.
Where did you get your pullys at? I need a set!

I got them from a member called highflyer for $50 + shipping. Seemed like a pretty good deal. Maybe he has another set???

Nice find and your doing great. I bought my 67 4 door Dart in the spring. It has been in the garage since getting the motor running good and some gremlins fixed. I had to relace the l frt rail and repair the right. We brought it home yesterday and I'm driving her till the winter then giving her a paint job. Hope to see yours on the road soon

My new gas cap and adapter came today. I love it! Thanks to 4mulaSvaliant for the adapter and blue_stocker for the great looking original flip top cap.

Well it's been 4 months since I've posted an update so here it goes.... Spent most of the last few months remodeling a townhome for my mom. Just got back to working on the Dart a couple weeks ago. All the bodywork is done and we sprayed on primer for blocking tonight. It's really starting to shape up. The body mods are looking great and I'm glad I went that route.

You've done a great work o your car. I really like those two door sedans. Here in Sweden they are extremly rare. Keep the pictures coming and keep up the good work

Thanks for the comments. I never thought this car would be straight again but it's almost there!!

I remember you selling a cam and saying your going with a 306 s, is this still the case? What compression are you running? and did you dyno it?

Yes I stuck with the 306S but I haven't had it to the dyno yet. The compression is 10.25. Brian at IMM said 500+ shouldn't be too hard to achieve. The engine has been on the back burner for a while until the paint and bodywork are done.
