I have been working with a new 670 I put on my 318 and have gone WAY up in jet sizes. Still seems a little lean. And wondering if this is normal?
Carb started out with 67 pri and 68 sec with a 31 pump nozzle.

Went up all the way up to a 45 pump nozzle. This fixed the stumble from a dead stop. But I figured it was covering up a lean condition. Well I have stepped all the way up to 73 pri and 74 sec jets. Still seems a little lean. And still dose not like a smaller squirter. Plugs are still bright white after shut down, after a good steady cruse.

Really starting to feel good power wise, but boy sure seems like I have been changing it a bunch to get there.

Engine is a 318, 273 heads with 1.88 and 1.60 valves, ported, about 9.7 to 1 compression, 480 lift 230 duration cam, LD4B intake.

Thanks for any help, or advice!
