Here are photos of my Carter AVS 4425S. I'm pointing to the area that is missing a part. My guess is that there should be a piece with a 90 degree tang that comes in contact with the fast idle linkage tang to raise it up when the choke shaft rotates.
This same missing piece should have some sort of keyway so that it fits firmly on the choke shaft. The choke shaft is notched as you can see in the photo for such a piece. Some carbs have this built into the end of the shaft but mine seems to be a separate part.
The other photos show a carb with the piece I am missing circled. Can anyone help?
