69 340 Swinger

1969 Dart Swinger 340 go through and paint. Been working on my 69 numbers matching 340 4 speed bench seat R4 red Dart. The first pick is how I got it, It was in storage in Texas and Georgia for over 35 years, this car was as rust free as they come. The floorboard pic was when I remover the original carpet, it gives you an idea of how solid this car was when I started. I have done 95% of the work and paint myself. Someone had done a cheap black paint job over the original paint. I went down to the original paint and went from there. It has been about 14 months and it is getting close. Have about 1000 pictures of the process. It has been a fun process.

Almost finished. Yes, I have the data plate and most of the build sheet. Also had the car verified by MMC Detroit

Great combo ! But I,m a bit biased ….My car was ordered with a black painted top and interior but I went white to help keep it cool in our hot summers.
White stripe will be installed this spring.
4 speed car .

That black was butt ugly but wow did you have good bones to work with. That floor pan shot told the story. I had a buddy that had a gts dart with a 340 and it was a wonderful car. Good body work and paint nice job! Everytime I see another one saved it makes me feel good.
