69 cud 383 4spd

Bummer, I thought I had the only 383-S four speed out there... LOL

SORRY, I have 3 383 4speeds notches 2 "S", 1 'cuda

Back in 69 , my dad,uncle & one of his friends ordered 3 barracudas formula S. One was a 340 4spd & 2 were 383 4spds.

Y'all crack me up. 4spds everywhere... No love for the Auto cars.

Here are some SBP originals no angle iron pieces. But they did have the extra sleeve on the rear bushing/inners on both sides as shown in the yellow circle. They were there so they were re-installed.

Can u check your upper A arms....do they have a extra welded on piece of like angle iron about 2-3" long? This would be on the underside. Thanks, Dave

The ones on the car are not the originals. Im changing the car to big bolt pattern. Ill take a look at the ones the car came with. My cuda came with the 4 piston brakes. Ill get back to ya.

Here's a pic of UCA from my 340 "S" and a link to thread I started a while back. Not sure if its original or not?? Im assuming so.

Yea I have seen them on a bodies & b bodies

Ive been getting some things done on my cuda. Got the final block sanding done on the quarters & the right door. Got both door jambs seam sealed. The front end is all rebuilt. I even found a new pitman arm down at Carlisle. My rear end is in w/ new moser axles, the leaf springs are cleaned & painted. Bought new fiberglass fenders at Carlisle. Wanted steel but I couldn't see paying the price they wanted for them. Taking the rear fender braceing out of a pair of junk steel fenders & putting them in the fiberglass fenders. Trying to get it ready for paint before the end of summer. All I have to do yet is make sure the fenders are straight & fix some dents on the trunk lid & fix some rust holes on the rear valance. I under coated the whole underneath & the rear quarters in the trunk area. BUT I have to paint 2 other cars before mine, my dads 67 gtx & a friends 67 cougar that I did body work on last summer. Ill keep you all updated on the progress.

Hi, nice job. Do you recall who had the Holy Grail of fenders at Carlisle, what kind of shape they were in and how much they were? I'm looking for the drivers side for my A56 fastback. Thanks in advance!

To tell you the truth I really didn't look hard this year at Carlisle. I just remember the prices of the ones I found last year. I just couldn't see paying 350-500 for a fender that needed work. I found one fender last year that I was considering, it was rust free, but it was full of dents (a lot) & the guy wouldn't take less than 400. I didn't do my own work & had to take to a body shop, your looking at another 250-350. Good luck with yours & let me know how you make out.

Glad to see you making some progress...

How's your back doing ?

It comes & goes. They tell me im to young for surgery. So im gone take my chances & I went back to work. I guess ill have to live with it. Thanks for asking. Hope to have the fenders fitted up & ready for block sanding this weekend.

Looking Good! I am starting on a 67 383 4sp notch that I got back after 39 years. On rotisserie now. Looking for good front grill parts.
