Hi all my Mopar freinds, Just having a stab in the dark here but hoping someone on here knows of this 69 Dodge Dart Swinger. Has anyone worked on this car maybe the body/paint , Interior, or Motor. I bought this car from Bemus Point NY over a year ago from a deceased estate auction.I got it shipped to down under Australia. Apparrently the previous owner was a doctor who sadly passed from a heart attack in his 50`s. The motor is a 340/416 stroker with Indy/Brock T/A heads. Around the 500hp mark.? The body is in great condition ,straight as,super paint job. All the chrome is new and interior is like new and smells new. a true credit to te previous owner. Now does any one recognize this little baby. Thank you all. ADAM

Welcome to this great site, someone did a great job building it, congratulations.

Are the callouts installed backwards?

Yep, they sure are! First thing that grabbed my eyes in the pics.
They need to be swapped side-to-side.
Exhaust tips aren't right either, and I question if it's a real 340 Swinger as my old '69 340 Swinger that I had back then never had "DART" callouts on the front fenders.
Nice looking car though - and I really like your collection of Darts, vcw9.

Nice cars! I would be interested to see the VIN and fender tag. The stripe looks painted, callouts backwards(easy fix) and the fenders do look odd with the turn indicators and Dart emblems. The tips look like they are from an early 90's Corvette. Fender tag would clear that up.

Thanks guys for your thoughts. Like I said it was bought at auction and I didn't see the car in person so was a big risk. But this is one of the better stories cos as you can see she is in VERY nice condition. The previous owner had spent a bit of dollars on it and I thought I'd post it to see if anyone out there ever worked on it. The callouts? Forgive me if I'm a dumb *** but what do ya mean.? The trunk stripes..?? They aren't painted on it's a sticker. Is it supposed to be painted on?? The Vin lm23p9b293736..... Not all the cars are mine except the dart swinger. That pic was from what they sent me. But my collection is getting there. I have a VC 1967 Australian Valiant original V8 that now has a W9 408 motor in it that is a real little animal.. Love the MOPAR gear..!

The call outs are on the hood, they look reversed to me too. Where it says ''340 four barrel'' should be rearward.
Nice car BTW!

Nice car!! The callouts are those pieces on the hood, they have 5 studs on the back, If you swap the side to side then they would be correct.

Thank you Dartnut an kegan. Ok What mine has got on the callouts reads- 416 STROKER- in black. So probably ain't an original 340 body. Not to fussed about that really the block is a 72. Not original. But has got some nice goodies in it. Callies crank, an rods, diamond flat top pistons .etc. Bores don't even have any scuffs on them. Maybe 1000 km?? On the motor.

remember the car being on ebay, i as inquiring about the red dart beside it and it was sold.
Glad everything turned out for you, buying a car so far way and not seeing it up close sometimes can be scary.
Welcome to Fabo! Nice car

Yes 2darts. That was. I inquired about the car, but didn't bid. My car was sold and the person never came up with the money. So they contacted me and asked if I was interested in it. I gave them an offer and they took it. The rest is history.! So if I Get it out there someone must know a bit about it ???

Any way to contact the former owner's family?
