7 1/4 Rear Discontinuation

What year did Mopar stop selling A bodys with the 7 1/4 rear? Did they? I thought starting in 75... Thanks

I had a 1976 Dart Special Edition with the /6 and a 904 and it had the 7 1/4 in large bolt pattern unless my memory is failing me.

I had a 75 that was SBP with drums and a 7 1/4" rear.

I have a '75 Scamp parts car with a SBP 7 1/4" rear. I was told by someone once they killed the 7 1/4" rear when they killed the a-body and went to the Volare/Aspen cars. Don't know if it's true or not.

76 was the last year of the a body so it was the last year they would use the 7.25 in them. I do think they used them in F bodies also though.

They used them in A-bodies until the end of A-body production, used them in F-bodies and also used them in 4cyl & 2wd v6 Dakota's until the new body style in 97.
