Yes. I had one that was dated 1964.....and it was still tight and operated well. AMS Obsolete probably has one......but it won't be cheap.

And I've got one I pulled out of a '73 Dart.
Leads me to believe that you could get them during pretty much the entire A body run.
Not exactly common, but they're out there.

A lot of folks give them away (or close to it) after they upgrade. Very little demand for them.

Is it the Dana Powerlock clutch type? I know they also made an Auburn cone type as well. If yours was original to 1973, that perhaps means either they used both types for the whole run of the 7.25.

Yup, the clutch-type. Kinda surprised me when I opened it up, I was expecting to see an Auburn style in there since it was a late-model 7.25 (BBP, 10" brakes) from '73- saw no evidence of it having been opened up before, either.
Like you said, still nice and tight- flushed it out a bit, sealed it back up and refilled it. Been in my wagon for 3 years now.

And the guy he gave it to later scrapped it. Along with some good slants, and 318, s
He'll I gave my one ton 2002 mag 360 van away. Health prohibited getting it out. Ran well as was driven 300 to 400 mile trips weekly prior to trans going out.
Can't save it all.

was there ever a clutch sure grip 7&1/4 rear end ever available? if so what yrs? thank you for your time. RR

The clutch type Sure Grip (Dana Power Lok) differential assembly, Chrysler # 2404390, for the 7-1/4" rear axle was available from 1964 through 1968.

The clutch type assembly was replaced by the cone type Sure Grip (Borg Warner Spin Resistant), Chrysler # 2881342, in 1969 and continued as an available option for the 7-1/4" rear axle through 1974.
